Drive XLR8 even controls crabgrass in the mature stages — four tillers or more. And Drive XLR8 provides outstanding residual control for up to 30 to 45 days with a single application. Historically for the Midwest geography, 2-4 tiller stage crabgrass falls during the first 3 weeks of July. Late July through August is when Drive absolutely performs the best and outperforms competitive products.

For golf course bentgrass/poa fairways & tees, it is recommended to use a Drive XLR8 rate of 1 oz/m and reapply the same rate in 14-21 days if necessary. For golf course roughs and all other high cut turf, apply Drive XLR8 at the 1.5 oz/m full labeled rate.

Keys to Success:  Spray coverage should be uniform and complete. It is recommended to not mow two days before or after application if possible. Irrigation may improve weed control, if soil moisture is not sufficient. Drive XLR8 may be tank-mixed with other pre- and postemergent grass herbicides, along with postemergent broadleaf herbicides. We do not recommend adding a PGR to the Drive XLR8 tank-mix.
